students will complete recitation of the 26th and 27th juz along with
Sura Yasin and Sura al-Kahf with Tajwid.
Details
Based on evidence from the Qur’an and Hadith, scholars
have diligently preserved the correct method of reciting each and every
letter of the classical Arabic language as well as all other aspects of
recitation. ‘Allama Ibn Al-Jazari states, “Learning Tajwid is a
mandatory duty of utmost importance. Whoever does not recite the Qur’an
with Tajwid is a sinner.” In addition, without correct recitation,
our prayers cannot attain the highest level of acceptance.
In this fourth course, the students will be introduced to the text
al-Muqaddimah al-Jazariyyah in detail and the students will complete
recitation of the 26th and 27th juz along with Sura Yasin and Sura
al-Kahf with Tajwid.
Students whom the instructor feels have demonstrated sufficient
mastery after successful completion of the four part series will receive
the Jazari Certificate for Instruction (Ijazah) in Qur’anic Recitation. More information regarding the certificate is available here.
There will be separate live practice sessions for men and women.
Sessions will be in small groups to facilitate a more effective learning
