Biography

Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Saima Yacoob moved to the United States at a young age, and now lives and teaches in Sterling, Virginia. She has taught Kindergarten, First, and Second grade at the ADAMS Radiant Hearts Academy for seven years. She began learning Tajweed at the age of 10, and has been teaching Quran since she was in highschool. She received her ijaza in Hafs an Asim from Sheikh Hatim Youseff. She has also received her ijaza in Muqaddimah Al-Jazriyya from Sheikh Mufti Umer Esmail. It is her hope that she continues to benefit from her teachers, and to memorize the Quran.
