Question

I have a question: I understand that swallowing water during ghusl can break the fast. If this happens, does it also invalidate the ghusl?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

I pray this finds you in the best of states.

Your Ghusl will remain valid even if your fast has been broken. [Shurunbulali, Nur al-Idah]

This is because even if you break the fast by swallowing water, you will nonetheless have performed all the obligatory actions for a valid Ghusl.

Allah, Most High, says:

“Allah desires ease for you; He does not desire difficulty for you.” [Quran, 2:185]

And Allah knows best.
