Caution in Religion – Prophet’s Counsel to Ibn Umar

In the Name of Allah, the Benevolent, the Merciful

There is a hadith report narrated by Imam al-Khatib in his Kifayat al-Rawi, in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)  said to Abdullah ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him): “O Ibn Umar! Take care of your religion! It is only your flesh and blood. Take from those who are upright and do not take from those who have swerved.”
