Fabric of Life

Whether you weave your days with work and dhikr
Creating a unified fabric of life

Or whether you fuse the fibres together
Using random slashes of impulse and strife

Either way you will produce a cloth that spreads
Charming and looking good when put on show

But when put to the test of strength of threads
The woven tapestry is the one He’ll know

Because He watched each mindful chosen strand
And strengthened it with His Merciful Hand.
