Executive Summary

This course looks at how to motivate ourselves to build a lasting relationship with the Qur’an. This is through looking at its virtues, benefits, and the lives of some who thrived spiritually through their connection to the Book of Allah. These lessons will provide inspiration and a practical approach to engaging with the Qur’an.


Studying and understanding the Qur’an is important, as is reciting and memorising it. There are many verses and hadith which encourage us to recite the Qur’an and reflect on it. This course looks at these sources to motivate us to benefit from them directly,

Reciting and reflecting on the Qur’an is an act of worship. It is the direct way of benefitting from it, and it is a requirement for the prayers. Doing so with all the outward and inward means ensures one’s recitation is deep and transformative.

This course explains the verses and hadith which encourage us to engage with the Qur’an to inspire us. It furthers that inspiration by looking at people who benefitted through their connection to the Qur’an, Finally, the outward and inward etiquette of engaging with the Qur’an is explained.
