Shaykh Faraz Rabbani shares a deep insight of Imam al-Shadhili, one of the great spiritual masters, on what it means to seek purity. This is linked to one of the earliest commands revealed to the Prophet ﷺ, “And your garments make pure.” The Holy Qur’an, Sura al-Mudather, 74:4.
He explains that there are five garments that Allah bestows on his servants as they excel spiritually:
1. Submission
2. Belief
3. Divine Oneness
4. Knowing Allah
5. Love of Allah
