A Personal Tribute to Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore from Sukina Douglas

“It’s interesting when you lose people who were part of your global community. You may not have been in touch regularly but knowing that they were there – somewhere, present on Earth, meant something. Once they are gone, you miss them as an individual but more importantly, you miss what they represented. Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore was such a person, and I feel the void of having lost such an incredible, Western Muslim poet.”

Throughout Ramadan, SeekersGuidance is paying tribute to the late Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore, one of the most prolific and skillful poets of our time. Each day, a selection from Ramadan Sonnets will be read by a friend and loved one. To contribute, please email us.
