Centre Operations Manager
SeekersGuidance’s vibrant learning centre in Istanbul serves as a hub for Islamic learning, community programs, and scholarly engagement.
We are seeking a capable and grounded Centre Operations Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Centre. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can translate vision into reliable execution—ensuring that programs, people, and facilities operate smoothly, professionally, and in alignment with SeekersGuidance’s global standards.
You will serve as the backbone of the Istanbul Centre, bridging local execution with global coordination.
What You’ll Do
1. Centre Operations & Execution
- Own the operational planning and execution of weekly classes, monthly programs, and special events.
- Ensure the Centre is consistently prepared, organized, and welcoming for students, teachers, and visitors.
- Maintain the physical space to SeekersGuidance standards, overseeing vendors, supplies, and facilities needs.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and support a small team of administrative staff, teachers, and support personnel.
- Coordinate scheduling, onboarding, and training of local staff as needed.
- Foster a calm, professional, and service-oriented work culture.
3. Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between the Istanbul Centre and global SeekersGuidance teams, including:
- Academy
- Media
- Marketing
- Technology
- Development
- Coordinate with the Media team to ensure high-quality recording and documentation of classes and events.
- Work with Marketing and Outreach to support local visibility and community engagement.
4. Academic & Program Support
- Support the planning and logistics of:
- Weekly classes
- Monthly programs
- Conferences and retreats
- Ensure classes are delivered smoothly and recordings are completed to quality standards and timelines.
5. Financial & Operational Oversight
- Oversee Centre budgeting, expense tracking, and basic financial reporting.
- Plan operational needs responsibly, balancing quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
6. Strategic & Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and student experience.
- Translate global operational frameworks into practical local systems.
Who You Are
- An Experienced Operator: You have 3–4+ years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
- Mission-Aligned: Experience in educational, nonprofit, or religious community organizations is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual & Communicative: Fluent in both English and Arabic.
- Structured & Reliable: You are organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight schedules.
- People-Oriented: You lead with professionalism, clarity, and empathy.
- Financially Aware: Comfortable with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
Reporting Line
This role reports to the Global Head of Operations at SeekersGuidance, with local coordination responsibilities at the Istanbul Centre.
