Class Assistant

SeekersGuidance is looking for a bilingual and media-savvy Class Assistant to support the live classroom operations. This role is essential to our mission, ensuring a seamless technical experience for both our scholars and global students.

You will be the engine behind the scenes—managing the broadcast, facilitating the live environment, and ensuring our content is preserved and accessible. This is a Part-Time (15 hrs/week), Remote position.

What You’ll Do:

1. Live Session Operations

• Master the Broadcast: Operate OBS Studio to manage live class streaming, ensuring high-quality visual and audio output.
• Facilitate Engagement: Monitor Zoom chats during live sessions to assist students and facilitate a smooth interaction between the scholar and the audience.
• Content Preservation: Record sessions and manage the post-session workflow by uploading videos to shared drives promptly.

2. Content & Translation Support

• Bridge the Language Gap: Provide accurate translation and subtitling (Arabic & English) to make the lessons accessible to our diverse student body.
• Identify Key Moments: Track and log timestamps for “clip-worthy” content to support our social media and marketing teams.

Who You Are:

• Bilingual Proficiency: You are fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) and can translate complex concepts accurately.
• Tech-Savvy: You have hands-on experience with OBS Studio and a solid understanding of media studio equipment and live-streaming workflows.
• Reliable & Professional: You are a detail-oriented communicator who can reliably support live classes based on the Eastern Time Zone.
• Organized: You can manage files and logs efficiently under the pressure of a live environment.
