English Scholar for Islamic Studies and Religious Guidance

Position Summary:

SeekersGuidance is looking for an experienced, qualified scholar as a Scholar in Residence at our Centre in Istanbul, Turkiye

The scholar (full-time, on-ground) is responsible for delivering high-quality Islamic education in accordance with the SeekersGuidance standards.

This role includes teaching multiple Islamic studies classes, as part of our Islamic Studies Curriculum—and providing mentorship, engaging students, and contributing to educational content development.

The teacher will also engage in general community educational and engagement programming, and be available at the Centre to provide religious guidance and advice.

This teaching and guidance will have both local impact and global reach—as SeekersGuidance is rapidly growing, and is going to reach 250,000 registrations in our online courses in 2024 alone.

Qualifications

• One. Needs a strong Islamic studies background through formal study under recognized scholars, completing a recognized program of Islamic Studies, formally or privately.
• Two. Prior experience as a Teacher and in working at an educational institution is needed.
• Three. Adherence to mainstream Islamic scholarship in beliefs and practice.
• Four. References from recognized scholars are critical.
