What Is the Ruling on Purchasing From Companies With Biblical Branding?
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
Is it permissible to buy from a company that named itself after the fig leaf, referencing Adam and Eve in their branding?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
The usage of symbols or branding whose connotation goes against our beliefs does not cause the products being sold to become impermissible. If the products being sold are permissible, they are permissible to purchase, and the branding does not change that fact.
However, if a company is actively promoting or funding sin, it is encouraged to avoid that company if there is a reasonable alternative available. [Ibn ‘Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]
Hope this helps
