066 – Our Ill Manners and Divine Help

The Hikam

In this episode,  Shaykh Zahir Bacchus covers the 66th aphorism of the Hikam: “It is of the ignorance of the disciple to show ill manners and when the penalty is delayed to say ‘Had this been ill behaviour, it would have cut off the divine help and neccasrily caused distance.’  Yet it may be cut off the divine help in a way he is unaware and were it only to prevent the increase, Or he be kept distant while not knowing it, were it only leaving you and whatever you wish”.

This podcast covers “The Hikam”,  considered a classical masterpiece in spiritual literature – written by the great spiritual master of 13th/14th century Ibn Ata’illah. The Hikam is  a book of spiritual aphorisms containing timeless and pure spiritual wisdom.
