The king expresses his pleasure with Yusuf, who, being the most qualified person for the job, asks to be put in charge of the country’s stores. The king agrees, and over the years Yusuf carefully manages the grain Egypt produces, to help themselves and others. Eventually, his brothers come, and Yusuf puts into effect a plan to unite the family and teach his brothers a much-needed lesson.
