In these verses, Allah Most High warns the Believers against following the ways of the People of the Book. Shaykh Reasat explains that they secretly envied and hated the Believers. However, Allah Most High encourages the Believers to forgive them. The Jews claim that they alone will enter paradise, while the Christians claim likewise. Allah Most High refutes these false claims and promises that He Most High will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection.
