In this episode of Seekers Quran Tafsir, Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat continues his commentary of Sura al-Baqara, verses 116 – 119.
This section begins where Allah Most High refutes the claims that the angels are Allah Most High’s daughters. Shaykh Reasat reiterates that the disbelievers (Jews, Christians, and Arab idolaters) were intent on disbelief. He explains the linguistic meaning of the word “badi” (to create something from scratch). This section ends where Allah Most High assures the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) that he will not be held responsible for the disbelievers.
