Yusuf uses every opportunity to call his fellow inmates to Allah, carrying on the tradition of his forefathers. Two inmates ask him for an interpretation of their dreams and he does so. He indicates to one of them to mention him to the king when he gets out of prison, but the Devil made him forget. Only at a time of calamity does he recall the matter of Yusuf.
