Is It Required for Both Husband and Wife to Take Ghusl After Each Round of Intercourse?
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
Is it required for both husband and wife to take ghusl after each round of intercourse, if we plan to go multiple times in a night?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
It is not required of either spouse to perform the ritual bath (ghusl) after intercourse if they intend to engage in intercourse again.
It is, however, a recommended act for the husband to perform ablution (wudu) prior to reengaging in intercourse. [Ali Qari, Mirqat al-Mafatih]
The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “When any of you approaches his wife (i.e., has intercourse) and intends to repeat, let him perform ablution (wudu).” [Muslim]
Hope this helps
