Should I Remove Stickers With Surat al-Qalam’s Last Verses Used Against Evil Eye?
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
Should I remove a sticker with Surat al-Qalam’s last verses used for evil eye protection?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
Many scholars have attested, based on their experience, to the protection afforded by the final verses of Surat al-Qalam against the evil eye.
The circumstance for which these verses were revealed was in light of people seeking to harm the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) with the evil eye. [Qurtubi, al-Jami’ li Ahkam al-Quran]
It is thus permissible for you to leave the sticker as is, and even with the same intention of protection.
