The Etiquettes of Companionship (Part 1): Good Opinion and Overlooking Faults – Shaykh Yahya Rhodus

In this first podcast on the Etiquettes of Companionship based on the book Adab as-Suhbah by Iman Abdulwahhab ash-Sha’rani, a renown Egyptian Scholar of the 10th Islamic Century, Shaykh Yahya discusses (1) overlooking other people’s faults and (2) teaching oneself to have a good opinion of others. Using teachings from the Qur’an, the Hadith, and elect scholars, Shaykh Yahya highlights from Iman ash-Sha’rani’s work why we should implement these etiquettes and how we can do so. Shaykh Yahya also explains why the greatest thing that each of us can do in response to worldwide suffering is to rectify our own condition.
