Shaykh Yayha discusses in depth ayah 12 in Surah Ya Sin, Chapter 36 of the Qur’an (36:12). Among the topics covered are several meanings of the beginning of the ayah, “Truly, We give life to the dead…” (as translated) and the occasion of the ayah’s revelation (asbab al-nuzul). There is also an enlightening discussion on the passive nature of the Preserved Tablet, which is referred to at the end of the ayah as the “clear registry” (as translated from imaamin mubeen).
