It is very easy to feel overwhelmed with how depressing and evil darkness is. But God tells us how to deal with darkness, by turning to light in the verses of light. What does that mean and how do we do that?
In this Friday sermon, Shaykh Faraz reflects on the verses of light in the Qur’an from Surat al-Nur (chapter 24, verses 35-38) and explains what the light in those verses mean and how to attain that light in our lives. He highlights that the reality of everything in of itself is darkness, and it is only Allah, the Light of the heavens and earth, who gives light to everything in existence. So in order to attain that light, and turn away from darkness, we need to turn to the source of true light, God.
