Shaykh Faraz Rabbani explains the significance of circles of remembrance and why the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) referred to them as Gardens of Paradise, when he said, “If you pass by the Gardens of Paradise, then dwell therein.” When asked what the gardens of paradise are, he replied, “The circles of remembrance.”
The Garden is sought not for its trees, fruits, or flowers–but because it is the meeting-place with the Beloved.
It is in circles of remembrance that one finds love for Allah, and the yearning to turn to Him–that yearning that is only realized by turning to the light of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (peace & blessings be upon him & his folk).
