04-No Fear of Poverty – Spiritual Counsel: Wisdom on Turning to God from the Islamic Tradition -Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

In the Spiritual Counsel podcast, SeekersGuidance founder Shaykh Faraz Rabbani covers great texts from the rich Islamic spiritual tradition on how to turn to Allah, to cultivate spiritual presence, acquire Prophetic character, and attain true virtue.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a tremendous amount of importance to the health of our hearts. Shaykh Faraz Rabbani starts reading and explaining hadiths from the Chapter on Matters That Soften the Heart from the hadith compilation, Mishkat al-Masabih, compiled by Muḥammad ibn Abdullah Khatib al-Tabrizi (d. 741 AH).

In this episode, Shaykh Faraz covers the eighth and ninth hadiths from the Chapter on Matters That Soften the Heart from the hadith compilation, Mishkat al-Masabih, compiled by Muḥammad ibn Abdullah Khatib al-Tabrizi (d. 741 AH). Both these hadiths highlight that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fear poverty for his community after his passing. Rather he feared that wealth and the blossoms of the world be opened for them in way that busies them from God, so that they are excessively concerned with the wealth.
