When we are in difficulties, we turn to turn to God in prayer, asking him to give us relief. When we don’t see an immediate response, we wonder why God doesn’t answer our prayers. Shaykh Hamza Karamali explains that God does, in fact, answer all of our prayers, but the only way for us to see that is if we understand that the purpose of our prayer and supplication is to cling to God, not to the thing that we are asking for.
