“Getting Married” in Toronto

Following the success of the “Getting Married” seminar held in Maryland last month, SeekersGuidance promptly brought this seminar to Toronto, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani’s home city. Held at U of T’s Multi Faith Centre on Saturday 22nd May, this full day seminar explained the key concepts one needs to understand in order to marry in the correct way.
The audience was given opportunity to ask questions throughout the seminar, which provided clear answers to those often controversial or misunderstood concepts, such as polygamy in modern times, woman being described as a bent rib, domestic chores as an obligation, and marrying a virgin as opposed to one who has been married before.
Shaykh Faraz delighted the audience with his own personal story of getting married, and the whole room let out an “aww” when he described the moment he knew that his wife, should become just that.

Feedback from this Toronto seminar (all given anonymously by attendees):
“Very informative, eye opening, and improved my confidence”
“I liked the fact that Shaykh Faraz told us a lot of real life stories regarding marriage. They really put things into perspective. Top notch!”

Look out for information on our next Toronto seminar, “The Laws of Love. The Keys to a Spiritually Transformative Ramadan” being held on Saturday July 24th, insha Allah.
