Can I Buy Items in Bulk?
Question:
Can we buy more than one item in bulk?
Answer:
Wa ‘alaykum assalam wa rahmatullah wa baraktuh.
I pray you are well.
Yes, it is permissible to buy items in bulk. There is no problem with that, even if it is for personal use. However, it is not permissible to buy things to monopolize them or to sell this at a vastly increased cost, as this is harmful to people and society. [Zayla’i, Tabyin al-Haqa’iq]
Ethical trade is highly encouraged in Islam. Honest traders will find getting to Paradise easier.
May Allah grant you the best of both worlds.
