Can I Make An App Where People Can Publish Their Stories?

Question

Many people write stories on Facebook, especially romantic ones, so I was thinking of making a mobile platform where they can publish their stories and others can read them. I will also find a way for writers to benefit by publishing stories in the app. Now, will I be sinful for making such an app?

Answer

I pray you are well.

It is permissible for you to make such a platform for them to publish their stories. You should encourage them to publish wholesome, moral, and clean content. Any income you earn through the app will be permissible, as they would essentially be renting the online ‘space’ for their content. (Maydani, al-Lubab)

May Allah allow you to be a means for much good and benefit to spread to His servants.
