Does Inserting Medicine Into Private Parts Nullify Wudu?
Hanafi Fiqh
Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani
Question: Does inserting medicine into private parts nullify wudu?
Answer: Assalam alaikum,
I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.
In the Hanafi school, inserting something (whether medicine or other—permitted or impermissible) into front or rear private parts does not invalidate one’s ritual purity (wudu).
Rather, wudu is nullified by the exiting of filth (actual or effective), only. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]
And Allah is the giver of success and facilitation.
Wassalam,
