Can I Work As a Software Supporter in Stock Exchange?

Hanafi Fiqh

Answered by Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat

Question

Is it permissible to work as a software supporter in the stock exchange?

Answer

I pray you are well.

Yes, this job is permissible. You would not be directly committing a sin, nor would you be directly assisting in other doing so. Please check our assisting in sin archives for more information on this.

If you do happen to be working for a company which trades in interest or impermissible products it would be superior for you to look for alternative employment to avoid the difference of the scholars, and to be safe in your din.

May Allah grant you the best of both worlds.
