Answered by Mawlana Ilyas Patel

Question

It is the law of Denmark that if you want to go back to your country, they will give you some money. Is it permissible to take that money when you say, “I want to go back to my country,” and they will, in return, give you some to go to your homeland?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.

I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question.

Yes, it would be permissible and halal for you to take up the financial incentive support to leave the country and resettle in your country of origin. [Khadimi, al-Bariqa al-Mahmudiyya fi Sharh al-Tariqa al-Muhammadiyya; al-Fatawa al-Hindiyya]
