Question

Is it permissible to remain in a family group chat where haram statements are made? Is there a difference between the statements being regular and irregular? Also, is there a difference between the statements being most likely haram, and definitely haram?

Counsel

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Religion is counsel.” The people said, “To whom should it be directed?” He replied, “To Allah, His Book, His Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), to the leaders of the Muslims and to the common folk of the Muslims.” [Muslim]
