Are Loyalty Cards Considered Gambling?

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Is it permissible to use discount/ loyalty cards in clothing stores, or is it gambling? Jazakallah khair

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful and Compassionate

I hope you are doing well, insha’Allah.

Using discounts or loyalty cards is permissible. They are considered either discounts or gifts from the seller, both of which are permissible.

And Allah is the giver of success and facilitation.
