What Supplications Can I Make to Help Me Pass My Exam?

Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch

Question

Please suggest some dua to develop an interest in my studies. I find it very hard, I have been preparing for an entrance exam for quite a long, and I am going through depression. I have a sound mind and memory, but there is a considerable problem ….. I couldn’t study even if I wanted, and this was no problem during my school days; I had never imagined the situation I am undergoing now.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

Consider using the following supplications:

Anas (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “O Allah! There is no ease except for that which You’ve made easy, and You make the worrisome easy if You wish.” [Ibn Hibban]

It is narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and give him peace) would make the (following) supplication in times of difficulty:

“There is no god but Allah the Almighty the Forebearent. There is no god but Allah. You (O Allah) are the Lord of the mighty throne. There is no god but You, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the Earth and Lord of the noble throne.” [Ahmad]

Also, consider performing the prayer of need. See the below links for more details.

Hope this helps
