Question
Can We Name a Person Abdul Nassar?
Answer
I would avoid this name because I have not heard that Nassar is one of the names of Allah. Allah has mentioned Himself as Naseer in the verse below, but I have not heard the name Abdul-Naseer either. However, Nasir (ناصر), meaning supporter or helper, is fine to use.
“And if they do not comply, then know that Allah is your Protector. What an excellent Protector, and what an excellent Helper!” [Quran, 8:40]
May Allah give you the best of this world and the next.
