The Champion of Truth by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Shaykh Faraz Rabbani explains key lessons on being a champion of truth (a siddiq) from the life of the great companion Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) as part of an ongoing course taught at the Ha Meem College by Dr. Ridhwan Saleem and other distinguished teachers.

Shaykh Faraz highlighted how the great companion Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) exhibited the highest meanings of being a “siddiq”, a champion of truth, before the coming of revelation to the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And then throughout the message of the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the very beginning to the very end, right up to the passing of the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Shaykh Faraz uses vivid examples from the life of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) with the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He highlights what is meant by being “truly true”, a siddiq, or a champion of truth, and how we can strive to live and embody those meanings in our lives, inspired by the beautiful example of the greatest follower of the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the best human after the prophets, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him).
