Can Beard Dye Affect the Validity of Wudu?

Does using a temporary brush-on beard dye labeled as water-resistant affect the validity of wudu once applied?

I hope you’re doing well, insha’Allah.

Normal hair dyes bought in shops do not affect the validity of wudu or ghusl, because the coating is not a perceptible barrier.

Rather, such dyes are considered like the “stain” of ink or henna, which the jurists (fuqaha) deemed not to be a barrier.

This is opposed to a “clear coating” of paint, or a thick layer of oil, which are considered to be “perceptible” barriers. [Tahtawi/Shurunbulali, Hashiyat Maraqi al-Falah; Ibn ‘Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]
