What Was the Ruling on My ’Umra While I Was Masturbating in My Teens?

Hanafi Fiqh

Question

I went to ‘umra when I was 13 years old, one month before I was fourteen. I used to make the secret habit back then, but I didn’t know if I used to ejaculate sperm (mani) or pre-ejaculate (madhy).

I only discovered a few years later that if one ejaculates sperm, then one has to do ghusl, but now I don’t know if I used to ejaculate sperm at that age. What do I do for the ‘umra I did when I was thirteen?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question and seeking guidance and clarity.

You performed your ‘umra while you did not reach puberty. Therefore, you will not have to worry about it. However, seeking forgiveness for the past will be good of you. Allah Most High accept the ‘umra that you performed, and may you remain steadfast upon His religion and increase in knowledge, action, and high spirituality, amin.
