Know: There Is No Deity Besides Allah

We know that everything besides Allah is created and that He alone is the one, true God of all that exists. That is a certainty. If there are realms of existence beyond our knowledge He is their Creator too.

 

Do Other Universes Exist?

Is short, yes; but not in the way people understand from science fiction. Allah stated that He adorned the lowest sky with lamps – meaning the stars. [Qur’an, 67:5] This is a reference to our universe, which is the first sky. There are six skies beyond it, and then the domains where Paradise and Hell exist.

Each could be classed as a universe, in that sense. So we live in a multi-verse, but not one where there are infinite versions of reality that branch of from our own and then develop in other ways. That makes for interesting Science-Fiction, but it contradicts with the Qur’anic perspective.

The common multi-verse theory, which talks about an infinite number of universes always having existed is a tool used by the atheist mind. It is used to evade a sensical, provable, and well-substantiated explanation of existence – God – by positing an un-provable idea that, upon investigation, leaves many glaring questions. For example, is this multiverse self-aware? Does it have volition? Who or what decides the clearly observable patterns and variations in the universe?

A basic study of ‘Aqida is sufficient to see its deficiencies as an explanation of reality. Worry not! Allah has told us all we need to know to understand the origin, purpose, and wisdom of existence.
