Question

My father married this woman who embraced Islam a few years ago, and they had a son together but divorced after a while. And they were both in unlawful relationships when separated, but now they might want to remarry.

However, we’re not sure if the woman became murtad whilst they were divorced, but she is willing to embrace again. How can they go about it?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.

They should both renew their covenants with Allah, In the case of the Man, he should repent, and the woman in question should embrace Islam sincerely, and then they may remarry, and Allah knows best.
