How Can I Become a Muslim Scholar as a Woman?

Answered by Ustadha Shazia Ahmad

Question

Where can I study online to be an Islamic teacher or a sheikha as a woman? Next year I will move to Toronto, but I prefer the online option.

Answer

Thank you for your question. Your intention is very noble, and may Allah help you achieve it for His good pleasure, but I advise you to intend to seek knowledge for Allah’s good pleasure. Follow what Allah facilitates for you after that.

Study

The best place for you to study online is definitely here at SeekersGuidance. We have an Arabic program that will be launched soon, and you can study the basics of fiqh, aqidah, tajweed, and more at the same time. Start with the STEP ONE program, in sha Allah.

If you come to Toronto, you can benefit from attending the many lessons on the ground at the Hub.
