Will Someone Who Dies on a Friday Go Straight to Paradise?

Answered by Mawlana Ilyas Patel

Question

Will someone who dies on a Friday go straight to Paradise?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

I pray you are well.

Abdullah bin Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: “No Muslim dies on the day of Friday, nor the night of Friday, except that Allah (Most High) protects him from the trials of the grave.” [Tirmidhi]

It is possible that the punishment is withheld for that day or even permanently. [Ibn ‘Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

Death on the eve of Friday or the day of Friday is a glad tiding and good sign of a person’s final end state. We hope that Allah (Most High) grants us all good works and sound faith before we leave this world, amin

I pray this helps with your question.
Wassalam,
