Question

As a taxi driver, can I keep a cancellation fee if the customer canceled before I did, knowing he would be charged?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

Yes, it is permissible for you to keep the cancellation fee, as the customer canceled knowing that he/she would be charged a fee.

The fact that you, too, were about to cancel has no bearing on this ruling.

Hope this helps
