Can You Sleep with Your Feet Facing the Mountains/Hills?

Answered by Ustadha Shazia Ahmad

Question

I have heard that you cannot sleep with your feet facing the Qibla, and I was just told that it is the same for mountains/hills. Is this true, or is it just a cultural belief or practice?

Answer

Thank you for your question. I have not heard of this being said about mountains and hills; I don’t believe it is true.
