Did the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) Say People Would Start Cursing In public In Front Of Kids?

Answered by Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat

Question:

Hello. I’m a non-Muslim. Did the Prophet (God bless him and give him peace) say people would start cursing in public in front of kids?

Answer:

Hello, my friend.

I pray you’re in the best of health and states.

The Prophet Muhammad (God bless him and give him peace) did comment about the rise of cursing. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a specific narration that was clear in saying people would start cursing in public and in front of children.

There are a number of narrations on this topic, such as: “Of the signs of the Final Moment [before the end of the world] are lewdness, swearing openly at others, severing family ties, calling the trustworthy treacherous, and calling the treacherous trustworthy. “(Ahmad). These are all low and vile matters that indicate the degeneration of people’s moral fiber.

There are a number of other narrations that dissuade Muslims from swearing and other forms of foul speech. Indeed, it’s something that God hates.

I hope that helps. God bless you.
