Are My Prayers Valid If I Experience Fecal Incontinence After Wearing Khuffs?

Question

Are my prayers valid if I performed wudu with the intention of being able to pray, wiped over my khuffs, and later experienced intermittent fecal incontinence?

I am experiencing fecal incontinence due to the flu. Prior to the incontinence commencing, I was wearing khuffs as it is cold & winter where I live.

After the issue started, I kept wearing the khuffs, switching them out at 24 hours, cleaning the private areas, making a new wudu with the intention of ability to observe the prayer, and quickly placing the khuffs on again.

Would all of prayers prayed in this manner be valid? .

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.

Yes. Your prayer is valid as you correctly followed the rulings and conditions of wudu and wearing of the khuff. [Tahtawi/Shurunbulali, Hashiyat Maraqi al-Falah]

The incontinence you experienced did not affect the initial validity of the khuffs being worn.

Hope this helps
