Do Mistakes in al-Salat al-Ibrahimiyyah Affect the Prayer?

Hanafi Fiqh

Answered by Ustadh Tabraze Azam

Question: When reciting durood Ibrahim I realized I missed some words, and I repeated it correctly. Does my salat need to be redone? Specifically my question is if one goes back and corrects errors in pronunciation, is the salat still valid?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray that you are well, insha’Allah.

Yes, your prayer is valid. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]

However, it would be disliked to go back and correct pronunciation errors. This opens the doors to misgivings. Try your best, and strive on improving your pronunciation and recitation outside of the prayer.

And Allah alone gives success.
