Question
Does wudu break if tears from hay fever flow down one’s face?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful and Compassionate.
If the tears are like regular tears and have the same characteristics as normal tears, then they do not break wudu.
However, if one has an infection or ailment that changes the tears in some way, such as becoming thicker, pus-like, or discolored, then that would break wudu.
If tears or another liquid comes out of the eyes due to an ailment, and the sign of that ailment is that the characteristics of the liquid are distinct from regular tears, then this would break the wudu.
