Is My Nikah Valid if I Didn’t Verbally Say Qubul but Consented?

Question

Is my Nikah valid if my father and the groom conducted it while I was in a separate room, and I did not verbally say qubul, though I was happy with the marriage and consented?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.

If your father married you to a groom and after you were informed, if you consent to the marriage, it is valid retroactively. You should have been asked for your consent before the marriage, but if you do consent, it is valid. [Maydani, al-Lubab fi Sharh al-Kitab]

Hope this helps
