Hanafi Fiqh

Question

I wanted to know the penalties for the following during Umrah Ihram:

Washed baby’s milk bottles many times with dish soap containing lemon.

Stepped over fragranced detergent used in Haram to clean the floor.

The husband kissed the wife while in Ihram, and she didn’t know this was coming.

Touched the Kaba during one of the rounds of tawaf.

Entered the Hatim during Tawaf and prayed two rakat.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

You owe a donation of about 2.2 kg of wheat or its equivalent monetary value to a poor person. This donation is not specific to any place, as opposed to the sacrifice [dam], which, if necessary, must be performed within the sacred precinct [haram].

It’s the same as one.

If a person kisses their wife passionately, an expiation (dam) becomes necessary. However, if a person spontaneously kisses their wife without passion, such as upon arrival or departure, no expiation (dam) is required. So, in your scenario, expiation is unnecessary as long as the kiss isn’t driven by passion.

One may touch or kiss the Black Stone or cloth of Kaba while in Ihram, despite it being scented, as long as the scent does not transfer to the person. Assume it was not transferred.

When one is performing the Tawaf, one should entirely focus on completing the seven rounds and not perform any other type of worship, like performing any prayers. If one did, like in your case in the Hateem, then your Tawaf is still valid. [Ibn ‘Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar; Kasani, Bada’i al-Sana’i]
